MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. In the year 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album reached the number 8 spot at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, the singer teamed with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca and it was which was a Top Five hit. In the year 2020, he debuted his charting sophomore album Dopamina as well as co-produced Mala Influencia along with Noriel. Later in 2021 he performed in a duet with TINI's stream smash single Maldita Foto. in 2023 the single the cult hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in the musical home of his family. Both his elder brother and mom are each musicians. In his interviews, he's described participating in music as compulsory. He started playing the saxophone, guitar ukulele and keyboard as the age of a small child. When his original career plan was becoming a vet, the brother Julian advised him to go for singing classes with an Cuban teacher and the end consequence of discovering the talent in the field of singing changed the course of his life.
