Mischa barton was born 24 January 1986 in the city of Hammersmith, England. The O.C. she played Marissa Cooper a socialite. In addition, she was as a character in The Sixth Sense a thriller. The O.C. which she appeared in was a popular TV show. Additionally, she starred on the cult TV show The O.C. Benjamin McKenzie, who played her lover. In 2001, Barton returned to acting in an independently-produced Canadian film, titled Lost and Delirious. It was based off her Susan Swan novel The Wives of Bath. Barton together with co stars Jessica Pare, Piper Perabo had mixed receptions. She also starred as Julie Johnson in Julie Johnson (2001) alongside Lili Taylor and Courtney Love playing the daughter of a woman involved in the midst of a relationship between lesbians. Barton had a second role along with Brad Renfro, Dominique Swain and Brad Renfro in Tart (2001) which is an independent show that was aimed at teens. Nadia Elena Comaneci..........................At the 1976 Olympics a 14-year-old Romanian captured the hearts and minds of the world with her daring and perfectio earning seven perfect tens three gold medals one silver and one bronze. She returned home to Romania to a heroines welcome. Comaneci also added two more gold medals in gold to her nine total in the Olympics four years later. In 1996 Comaneci was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame as well as in 1999 was honoured by ABC News and Ladies Home Journal for being named one of 100 of the Most Important women in the 20th Century. In April of 1996, Comaneci married American Olympic Champion Bart Conner and they have one son named Dylan Paul. Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy is one of the many gymnastics businesses they jointly own. Comaneci is also a member of several boards for charities, including her position on the Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association Board of Directors as well as the Laureus Sports For Good Foundation. Decades later, Comaneci continues to be a supporter of numerous other charities in her homeland of Romania. This includes her involvement with the Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital.
